I did a casting call on my Facebook page in January shortly after my Newborn Photography training and my first Newborn Shoot. It was for a Free Newborn Photoshoot so that I could put what I had learned into practice but also to expand on my Newborn Portfolio. I advertised for four babies due in January or February. The status was only up for twenty minutes before I had to close it as I had a very positive and phenomenal response.
I chose the first four mums that had replied to my post and Alice was one of these babies. After discussing details with mum it was decided that it would suit all round for the Photoshoot to take place at her parent’s house as they had one of the biggest living rooms I have ever seen. I was really excited to be photographing a baby girl as I had bought loads of girly props that I could not wait to use. My sister was my assistant for the day. She gave me a hand with the more difficult poses which was a big help.
Alice was a tiny baby and a little small for a few of my outfits but the ones we used worked really well. Once asleep, Alice was a dream to photograph and we got some lovely images. Here are a few of my favourites.
